I never thought about iot but don't think it could change much with just a pressure change . Here on shallower lakes we see it set up about 8' when no water is being pulled . Crappie hold just above alot because low oxygen/bad water below it .
The first thermocline on average is from about 12 to 15 feet deep,give or take a little both ways.Thats where there is a very noticable tempture difference with the water temp.colder below the thermocline,and you can really tell it. if you dive down to that depth you can feel the difference when you move your hand up or down with the warmer water above and the colder water below,and its very noticable.The question is tho does the thermocline RISE and LOWER as the bariometric pressure RISE and FALL.

The way I understand it is that the pressure that is on us is at one atmosphere,that would be at about 14.7 psi so correct me if Im wrong but if the barrometric pressure is up,would that mean the pressure that is on us be just a little greater (just a tad) or compressed but is its a little less then the pressure would not be so great.Im thinking the thermocline would not move up nor down because water will not compress. would that be correct.may be the thermocline does not rise and fall with the barometric pressure change...what do you think....

If the barometric pressure does not cause the thermocline to rise and fall,what causes it to change depth,because it does move some.Could thermo heat along with seasons change that is in the earth cause the thermocline to rise and fall...Just a thought perhaps you guys that is more knowledgeable than me help me out....
Heat from the sun or cooling from cloudy days , rain or pulling water could change it .
Wind can change the Thermocline also,The lake that you fish on how deep is the water below the thermocline.Iknow heat will cause the disolved oxygen to not be as great at the thermocline.So it is important to know where the thermocline is at without electronics its hard to determine.I suppose you could use a thermometer,ether on a string or a electriconic probe type I think you fish hookup would be greater....

Im not sure what bio-pressure is,could your go into a little more detail..please.I know at that thermocline is where the most saturated oxygen is at and a lot of fish will hover there if the oxygen in the rest of the lake is depleated thats why is the temputure of the lake is real high there is very little oxygen.
