Too me, bass have zero flavor. Not a bad eating fish, as long as you have flavorful breading. I caught 8 today, after seeing no deer. All released to cheer me up on another day...

If frying, crappie, walleye, bluegill, and bass taste about the same if they are all about the same thickness and size. I like walleye the best because it is thicker, which makes it more versitile. It you want to fry it, you can cut it in half (height wise) and it will fry up crispy. It is hard to beat a thick cut of walleye seasoned to perfection and baked or grilled. But my all time favorite, and secret weapon, is my beer battered walleye. When we have the next crappie camp (hint hint for someone to step up) I will bring some walleye and my secret beer batter recipi for the fish cooks to try. I even had an idea that we could have a fish cook off at the next camp. I think that would pretty cool.

I have done tons of fish frys and told everyone that they were eating crappie but really cooked bass. It is always the same story every time. "Man this is some of the best crappie that I have ever eaten!" I guess I know what I will be cooking at the next camp.

Kinda the way I feel about Crappie. It's not fishy tasting, so I can work with it. A little Tony Sachere's and some corn meal.......mmmm good! Oh yeah, Rees your buddy can keep the White Bass!

Yeah, I always wonder when people say Bass is nasty if they have actually tried it. Really tasty fish IMO.

I still prefer the walleye. Will trade crappie for all the walleye you got. Big River Marine Resort

Haven't eaten any black bass, but have heard the smaller ones are really good.
We only sell the Best. Ranger, Xpress, Yamaha, Suzuki, Tohatsu.
