Thanks a lot. I love those kids. I am a teacher at Harmony Grove and I've had them all in my classes. They're all keepers! I hope they can keep it going for a few more weeks. If the "Hornet Wreckshop" shows up and plays well, they could be playing in December. They're good, but sometimes they just lose focus and seem almost disinterested. They're showing their age I guess. Half the starters are sophomores. GTT

Man, a I saw where you guys lost. We did too. We had the lead until about 3 minutes to go despite 4 fumbles and an interception. West Fork played well and their senior leadership got it done over our group of mostly sophomores. Our senior QB had a nice game, but our #1 RB was dinged up and our #2 RB couldn't hold on to the ball! It's been a great year and a fun season. Back when I started this thread, I said that we weren't state champ material, but we would beat some people and we did. Harmony Grove finished 3-8 last year and improved greatly to finish 8-4 this year. Proud of my Hornets!

I know I'll be down when it's all over after John's senior year. I'm sure you are all feeling pretty down tonight. Take care. GTT

One last post and I'll let this one go until next year. John and another sophomore teammate made All Conference. There were a total of 6 HG Hornets who made the All Conference team and our senior QB made the All State team and has accepted a scholarship to play football at Air Force next year. That young man is very good, just needs some muscle on his frame and he could be great. John is now a 2 year letterman at the ripe old age of 16. We're hoping he gets taller, slims up, and tones up. Hoping next year, we'll be playing at War Memorial on TV.

    Happy Holidays to All! GTT

Thanks guys. I hate it that football is over, but it has to end. All the players were just banged up and bruised up and needed a break.

I could start a basketball thread! John can shoot the lights out from 3 point range, but running the court just isn't what he's built for. No kidding! . GTT
