ok guys , here's the deal..............im a Locomotive Engineer . I drive trains day and night from Pine Bluff to Longview Tex. This means I have one hell of a 'spotlight' . I go from PB thru Rison, Kingsland , Fordyce , Bearden, Camden , Stevens , on down to Texarkana . I have seen 30- 40 alligators , hogs and deer out the ass , bobcats, and every known species of wild animal that is out there . Day and night for 36 years and I have never seen a long tailed cat. Not to they aren't there , I just haven't seen them. I have had a few Conductors that have seen them, so they say . Most being in the McKinney area just north of Texarkana . My post is just to say there is NO 'cat problem' in Arkansas. If they are around they are plenty scarce.
