I don't have mine hooked up probably never will.
A few weeks ago, we were anchored up on a bream bed and I needed to retie so I asked Carol to hand me the box from the front storage with the hooks and stuff. I got out what I needed, handed her the box back and started to retie. All of a sudden the boat takes off with the TM on high dragging both anchors and going nuts. I figured I had by accident, hit the rabbit button on the remote. I started trying to turn it off and couldn't, but found out I could steer. I'm hollering at Carol to unplug the motor and in the panic of the moment, she couldn't get to the plug. After a few seconds of going crazy, Carol says could the box I put in the front storage have anything to do with this? It then hit me, that I do keep the foot pedal for the TM in the front storage. She had laid my tackle box on the pedal switch in the storage and when the storage lid shut, it turned the TM on high. It was a fun ride while it lasted. Kinda ruined the fishing in that spot though

Funny story, dude! Bet it wasn't so funny when it was happening! Thanks for sharing that with us.
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!

you guys and your fancy toys...
My stories like that are usually TM won't turn on, and after about 15 minutes, I notice its not plugged in.
You Can Make a Difference!
Not plugged in would be a good suggestion for a remote foot control in a storage box. Hehehe
We only sell the Best. Ranger, Xpress, Yamaha, Suzuki, Tohatsu.
Sounds like something that would happed to me!
Don't take em out of the boat even if you don't want to use it... never know if and when you may forget the remote or battery gives up
I leave my foot control hooked up and on the front deck at all times....never know when it might be needed and I sometimes use it when my hands are full.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
