One of the high lights of all my duck hunting was carrying a young kid and him killing his first duck and him hollering when it went down. Now he is grown, has a family of his own, and is a duck killing machine and a band magnet.

Putting a big bunch on the water in a little woods hole will ruin anyone for life.
You really sound like my kind of hunter.......I've been blessed to have had a lot of great duck hunting experiences but the most vivid memory I have is when my 9yr. old, at the time, Grandson now 12 who had been going with me since he was 4 pulled up and dropped his first drake mallard the first time I allowed him to shoot. We had been working on his shooting the whole off season. Those words "Oh Peepaw, I got it! " still ring in my ears. About brought tears to my eyes. I'd be in major major trouble if his momma and grandmother had any idea of the places and conditions I've taken that boy out in and expect him to do the same for me some day. Like I said I'm envious of your spot. I've been looking for spot like that for the last few years to buy. Not easy to come by so good job on getting yours.

Dang Randall, wish I could have seen that! I had a few stumps and logs send me from the back of the boat to the front seat via the express route several times, but not a total ejection. At least when the boat hooked up and turned and you continued on straight there wasn't a big tree between you and where you stopped. Be careful my friend, and tell Carol high, saw and waved at her today when she was at the plant dropping of the mail.

She said she waved back. Usually she doesn't see anyone. I woulda like to seen what happened on video, but the video would have probably been shaking too much because of the operator laughing

Looks like I may get to miss hunting tomorrow due to being on call. I was gonna try to slip off, but things ain't looking good. Just got in and feel beat like a drum.

A crappie fisherman down on his luck,
Decided that he would go shoot a duck.
    His boat hit a log
And he flew into the bog
Jumped up and cried "what the heck!!"
