Can't beat the woods filling up with ducks as you hug a tree. I envy you having a private spot. Last couple years I've been doing well hunting on the Cache and L'anguille. Good luck this season. There are lots better places to duck hunt. You know the St Francis. Here today, gone tomorrow. Me and my hunting buddy had plenty of time to think about buying a spot while sitting on the river watching empty skies. 7 or 8 years ago we pretty well saw what was coming so we bit the bullet and bought a place together. It may be the best investment we've ever made. What makes it so great is that it has a deep slough on the east side, a shallower slough right down the middle and the back half is an oak ridge. We couldn't have asked for a better setup. We will have water somewhere on us except when it is extremely dry.
