Way to go. Good luck in Kansas.
Took me all of 45 minutes on the stand this morning to kill my 1st doe of the season. 1st time I have killed on opening day. Headed to Kansas later this week to do some more bow hunting!

Sweet!!
I had to photograph a wedding on opening day. My game cam, however, was there to record a huge 8 point standing 15 yards from my stand at 7:00 in the morning...
Is winter over yet?
That's my luck too. A few years ago in January I went to go to my stand and couldn't get across the creek because of high water. I just found a spot and sat on the ground. I didn't see anything. Around 9:30 am, I decided to find a way across the creek. I walked across a log and got about 75 yards from my Stand. Couldn't get any closer because there was about 10 deer standing in front of my stand. All bucks. Not any huge ones, but a few I would have shot. Only deer I saw near my stand that year.
Had these two show up Saturday afternoon but my daughter just couldn't ever get the shot she wanted, it would have been a chip shot for most but she's just never shot one with a crossbow , patience was being tested to the max for me, hard to watch them for five minutes in the bran pile and then walk away, everyone must learn through experience !!!!!!

Some good deer. Being patient will pay off. Better to get that sure kill shot than to have one run off. She did good.

You are teaching her well, Greg. Many deer wounded by folks taking a shot too early when if they had just been patient, the best shot would have been available. Course, some get to walk because of that, but there will be another day. That's just my philosophy.
