I love my MacBook Pro, but it does seem like Apple is starting to be not as polished as they once were. I still believe I'm a long ways from switching back to that Microsoft junk though.

What did you do to lock your sliding plate in place when in the retracted position?

Guess I should have clarified a little bit more, when I wrote the above question, I was looking at and replying to your earlier post showing the pictures of your slide mount.

The mka-47 plate has a thumb screw that runs down from the top. This will lock against the boat if you run it down far enough. I normally just leave it loose and have never had a problem with it moving when retracted.

OK, thanks, the MKA-16-02 Quick Release has a thumbscrew that runs in the side. Guess I could drill another hole for the thumb screw if necessary, think I have room to drill one about 4 to 5 inches back to give me some slide if I need it.

Made a rigging change on the Excel. I have added the Driftmaster 5100 to the rear. Removed the back transport holder that I had made. Modded the 5100 to hold the rod tips and also added a second level for another rack of rods. Used a TV mast clamp and a piece of round aluminum tube to make the lower level holder.

Man I'm slow. I should have already had this done.
