Express all the way, best built aluminum boat on the market IMO.
Toss up between War Eagle and Excel due to the features we are looking for. Found an excellent deal on a lightly used 2013 Express that BRM took in trade, but it just didn't have the features we wanted. Found a new left over 2012 Excel at a bargain as well. Just wanted to see what ya'll thought. Feel free to be brutally honest in your opinions.

I know this is right. The Express has lot's of nice features I like. I don't think a guy could go wrong with one, and I know where there is a great deal on a nice 17 footer right now. We were kinda set on the lower front deck. We aren't getting any younger and we aren't nearly as sure footed as we once were. A fellow looks high and low and before long, things start running together. I wouldn't be surprised if I haven't looked at several thousand boats in the last few months.

Excell is the toughest build boat on the market.the lower deck is nice. I have been fishing out of both a lot this year and I still like excel the best!!!!

I had a dealer price me a comparably equipped Excel center console $5,000 cheaper than the War Eagle 2170 Blackhawk I bought. That's about as brutally honest as I can be.
If ya can't hide Money I would go with Excell. For me the Lowe STinger 175 if the widest most stable boat on the market with two large live wells and three base plates installed across the front deck, for easy double up front seating or single seating. The best buy on the market for the Money RCC. You and carol will be comfy on that seven foot deck and not feel like your going to fall off the side when fishing. And... no excuses when Carol fishes side by side and she has her own live well to show how badly she outfished you. HAHA!!! Good Luck on what ever you decide.

If Your Big Crappie Star Bound, Let Me Warn You It's a Long Hard Ride. CP
i own a stinger 175 and CP is right on the money. very stable boat. the only problem i have is getting up and down out of side console all day. the older i get the more i wish i had a c.c. if i were to ever get another boat their are two things i would have for sure. one is a center console for ease of getting up and down and a boat with no carpet. a real pain keeping carpet clean. if money were not a object it would be a ranger center console glass bay type boat or in tin it would be a lowe or war eagle center console with no carpet. whatever you get good luck with it...
DEAD AS FRIED CHICKEN
WarEagle for me. Super tough, well built. If not that and wanted a boat set up from the factory to crappie fish that Lowe Stinger would be hard to beat. Very wide and stable with most of the features you would build into one all ready there.get a look at CrappiePros up close.

I have put my greedy paws on Crappie Pros' boat, and it is a very nice rig that I wouldn't mind fishing out of at all. I also took a loot at the Triton vt17. I sure have seen some nice rigs.
