    Hawgdog and I finally got around to shooting some ducks. Managed to limit out our first trip. Got eleven the next. Then a couple of not so good days. Went this morning and had to work hard for a limit. Nice sunny day with hardly no birds flying. As soon as we weren't ready some would come dropping out of no where. Turned out to be a good day.

    Hunted twice earlier in this past week, and everything was iced over. Got a Gadwell:



    Then this morning, ended up going out and limiting out in 30 minutes. All teals but two shovelers and a mallard:

    We opened up duck season on Saturday with not much going on. Ducks were in the fields with the fresh water and the cloudy conditions.

    Sunday was different with the temps in the low 20's and we ended up in good shape 3 of us killed our limit shortly after 7 am.
    7 greenheads, 3 hens, 3 green wing teal, 2 gray ducks, 2 woodies and a smiling mallard (I still can't believe he shot that) Good laughs and good times in the blind.
