    Nice! I've been duck hunting over 20 years, and never got a band. People I was hunting with have, but never me.

    killin one wearing some jewelry is a great reward, thats always the first thing i used to do, pick em up and check them legs !!!

    That's the only banded duck I've taken in about 3 years. It was quite a surprise.
    Greg, I'm the same way, I check the legs first!

    I called the band number in and the duck was banded in August of 2012 in Manitoba

    did they tell u the age of the duck when it was banded, the oldest bird that i killed with s band was a pintail that wss at leadt 8 years old , and was banded in sasckewan , pretty amazing that a duck of any species could survive that many hunting seasons, id call him a boone and crocket in the duck world!!!

    Congrats on the band. Hunted many years and only have two. Last week of season already here. Time sure flys.

    They didn't say the age of the duck. I've got a certificate coming so I'll find out.
    I thought about the 2 trips that duck has made from Canada and how many hunters he has avoided. It is amazing. If he would have just not paid attention to that ole sweet hen today...
