Default Greeson May Be Getting Right

The early morning water temps on Greeson are back down in the low 60s and with stable water level yesterday and today the crappie have perked up a bit (along with the bass and bream). I hadn't fished in several days - busy auto and land shopping - so I did a bit of scouting by myself this morning for a trip this afternoon. I found a few here and there that would take a small shiner or rosy red fished from 9 to 15-feet deep and caught a couple on a 1/32-ounce hair jig. My crew showed up about noon and with the few I had in the box from scouting this morning we ended up with a good mess.

One of the gals caught a 14.5-inch black crappie early in the trip and then as we were talking about packing up and heading in she pulled up a fat 15.5-inch white crappie:

It was a beautiful day to be on the water but it looks like the next couple days won't be as nice.

SWEPCO expects to keep generating like they have been for the next two weeks so we'll loose at least another 3-feet if we don't get a bunch of rain.

Looks great Jerry. I will be heading up for the weekend and will be taking 3 young boys out for some fishing. I hope I can put them on some fish.

Had another pretty good trip on Greeson today. Fished from about 9:00 to 2:00 and caught them on minnows and jigs. Had a striper break the tip of the hook off my jig and the one in the picture tried to do the same thing but wasn't as lucky.

Anybody recognize the gal in the picture?

They were a bit more scattered today and wouldn't do anything but nibble the scales off our minnows where we caught them yesterday. We found some a bit shallower and some a whole bunch deeper and ended up with enough to stink the grease.

No guesses on the identity of the same gal in the picture today? I'll give you a hint - she IS a pro.

How about a 10.5-foot BnM Russ Bailey Signature Series Jig Pole for the first person that names her on this thread.
