Kinda strange to see it like that. Usually you see catfish at the top of the do not consume list. I guess the food source for bass and crappie have to be awful contaminated.
The black crappie are not edible at lake Alamo!!!??? This is from game and fish. Why are all the people then taking Mercury tainted fish home. Do you guys not read their posts.

This was sad to see since I saw everyone posting huge catches and people taking them home for there families to eat. We were planning on going there this weekend but not now.

I saw that and was wondering what is causing that, my first question was what are they eating.
People are still taking them home. There posting their catches on FB and AZ anglers. If this is true your kids can be in trouble.

yeah i was looking into lake alamo as there was a chance i might get stationed in sierra vista. After seeing that advisory, i decided i wouldnt even bring the boat if i did end up moving to az. It just to far to drive to other lakes and lake alamo appears to be turning in cpr lake, which is fine, but i also like my fish fry's. But a non factor now as it appears i wont be moving to az.
