Thanks guys. We're trying to make the fishing a little better. And hopefully the students are understanding the importance of it all.

Argihawg, I sent you a PM. Thanks in advance.
I thought I might ought to update this thread. Sorry it's been awhile. We (Centerpoint FFA) were not able to build any crappie condos this past spring. As I had reported we were planning on it, but we just weren't able to make it happen. Long story, boring details. Very disappointing, to say the least.
Due to the age of the condos, and the fact that I don't know what condition they are in....I will NOT be giving out coordinates for the crappie condos in Greeson or Ouachita. I'm afraid at this point I might be sending people on a wild goose chase. I'm sure if you contact the Corp. of Engineers though, that they will still provide a map to them.
I WILL continue to send out the coordinates for Degray Lake. As I fish there, I pretty well know the condition of most of the condos. I try to keep my files updated any time I discover we've "lost" one of our condos.
Btw, if you've seen the maps for sale in Walmart and other locations with GPS coordinates to crappie condos on Degray Lake, and a picture of one of the condos after it was built, those are THE SAME COORDINATES I HAVE BEEN SENDING OUT. Apparently, somebody decided to make a little money off of our project.

Sorry to hear that. Even though I may never get to fish them thank you to you and the students that built and placed these condos. They will benefit fishermen for years to come.
CATCH A BIG-UN
have they put the condo in yet
Yes, we actually put condos out in 2009, 2010, and 2011. About 80 in Greeson, and over 250 in Degray.

We have rebuilt 4 of the COE brushpiles in Nimrod. Sure wish we could coordinate a rebuild of them all here with local FFA , COE, and this forum. I have posted coordinates and will be handing out maps, trash bags and coordinates thanks to the COE at Nimrod Lake Fall Crappie Camp.
