I know that I am MEAN for not just giving out locations to everyone that asks.
MY OPINION is....all these people didn't want to help us with the drops, or take the time to help out CJ in any way, but they expect you to tell them where stuff is and help them catch fish, so they can just go out and plunder the lake, without doing any work that would benefit CJ. WE ALL made sacrifices to help CJ and they didn't, so they can figure it out on their own.
The guys that put time in, know that they only have to call me and I'll tell them exactly what is going on and where I caught fish....same with others who are trying to learn, and will be there if CJ ever needs them again....the rest, best wishes!
Sorry, but I'm tired of people I don't know or bad mouthed me on the other site, PM'ing me, asking where they can go to catch fish and where the cover is....those people unless they just moved here, had 8 yrs to work and learn, so it wasn't important then, their welfare is not important to me now! We have NEW members like Jeff (Crappiedreamer), Jesse (PhantomBB), etc, that are learning and helping, Jeff got in on the drops late, but he picks up trash, gives to people and the lake, and is really learning about CJ....Jesse just spent a lot of extra time helping a member to improve his Bass Fishing...When the drops start up again, they will be there for CJ...IMHO, they are deserving to get whatever help that I can give to them. If I see "someone in need" at the lake, and I know they need the meat, I will help them to catch fish...I'm not just gonna give them fish, but also teach and show them, and they'll walk away with enough Keitech's to make a difference....THAT'S WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT...it's not about limiting or poaching a lake, every time out, and expecting this not to have detrimental actions!
AGAIN, THE COVER WAS MEANT FOR CJ, to help the lake, then all fishermen...NOT FOR FISHERMEN TO SIT ON 24/7 AND USE...you freakin idiots!

Daniel, I'll start taking pics in ways that they fish is the only thing seen...it's sad but that's the world we live in!
Dang it ya caught me lurking....but I don't fish CJ so your spots are safe(at least with me).

One day maybe...it's a long drive. Thanks though.
One thing about pics, take a pic from a different location than where you actually caught the fish. That usually what I do
Like move next to the frozen lake....it keeps the lurkers (like me) at bay.
I like how you guys do the meet and greet breakfasts.

Is CJ the lake with the kayak course below the dam? My son is a kayaker and I think he runs up there.

The 'Yak rapids area is in the middle of town...same river that comes out of CJ...then it runs into the Mad River on the SW end of Springfield, then into Dayton.

Normally I can photo the fish over the water and that is the only thing that shows...but the area that I was at doesn't allow for that, and no matter how I cropped them, things showed...oh well!

CJ has one of the best Campgrounds around, also VERY NICE cabins, bring your wife up for a "romantic" fishing weekend!lol

The Meet and Greets are a blast...ALOT of GREAT Guys...CJ is Blessed!

Ice out will be soon...remember that Gators will Spawn around 45 degrees surface temp, they will be shallow feeding until then. Remember where the Walleye nets were placed and other shallow feeding flats. The shad will head for any extra warmth...rocks, etc, will heat up and hold warmth. I know it's hard but the best times are when most of us want to stay in...dark, damp, ugly days, are perfect times to bag you a Gator. Bluebird skys will have them feeding as the sun goes down, or in deeper or shady water...After the spawn the females will take a few weeks off to heal from the beating they just took...but when they have recouped their strength, the BIG MOMMAS will be pissed off and HUNGRY! I like this time cause a Gator will hit like a Freight train and fight all the way in...no "wet rags" at this time!

Crappie will be out on drop-offs, cover, etc, until the water temps hit 50 degrees at the surface, then the males will move in looking for nesting areas...Big Males will be deeper and away from the rocks. If you are catching smaller males continue to move, because BIG fish won't be around small fish! Females will move in when temps are around 60 degrees at depth...but it must remain stable...any front, storm, cold rain, etc, can throw the whole thing off by days or weeks. Last year the spawn was screwed up when water temps went from 55 to 75 in 2 weeks....they will hit anything at this time...I'm going to go with my ZMan stuff and some Smoke and SUPER SILVER GLITTER curley tails of EBay to save my Keitechs...last year I went through a lot of Keitechs needlessly. This is also "no doubter" time, if your fishing with lures, they will be smashed!
At 70 degrees the Males move off the nests and head back out to the drop-offs, they will start feeding heavy from dusk til dawn, but they will be opportunistic, and take a easy meal during the day!

Hope Everyone has a Great time!
If you need any help just holler!
Remember to keep an eye on temps...that is what this whole time revolves around!
    Good Fishing!
