Four Gators have made it to the Freezer the last 2 days (took today off)...they fell for the Pink and Orange (3) and Plain White 2.8 inch Keitechs. Each has been larger than the last, started off with an 18, then 19, then a 20, and ended today with a 22....hope this is a good OMEN for the year.
I'M HAVING FUN!lol

At least Jeff knows me...Crappiemax, ye of little faith!
As you all know, fish bite/eat in bad weather and it doesn't bother me...3 more Gators today, two 17's and another 20 , they all hit the Chartreuse fade.
Fished about 40 minutes after work in a down-pour...soaked to the bone and loved every minute. Slack water was key!
Freezer is filling already....put rain suit in car as soon as I got home!
GOOD FISHING!![]()

Can't wait for the CJ tourneys. Easytobeme03 I see you guys changed up the format. Breaking the tournaments into different days. Hopefully we can keep increasing the number of participants. I tell ya you and Jamie do a great job. Keep it up and thanks for all your hard work putting on both a spring and fall tournament.

Dang Brent that open water sure looks nice. I may have to take some time this weekend and head up your way. Thanks for posting.

Brent you think the jigs tipped with the power bait nuggets added a little more incentive. How were they moving. They give ya a good little workout or did they come in like a soaked towel.

Gators are hitting good, they are cold water fish....open water tends to excite them. Damn water is cold...but I have a pretty good pace on the Keitech's. Fish in this type of water take on a whole new personality.
IMHO, Crappie Nib-lets are a WIN WIN...first, they add a flash of color....second, they are made of seafood, etc, and give off a smell and trail....third, they may help keep the fish tasting the bait for a couple more seconds instead of spitting out, especially with soft plastics they will hold it longer....and fourth, I keep catching fish with them, so I'm not screwing with results!lol

I have plenty of faith...I was out catching a few weeks ago when we had the break in ice at EF. We caught plenty of crappie and all while swimming jigs with ice chunks floating all around us.
I never gave fishing he spill ways to much thought. I never understand why the spillway at EF isn't decent for sauger. Plenty of sauger in the LMR and actually in the creek down stream. Maybe one day I'll get bored and try it again.
That packing the rain suit AFTER you get soaked on a trip seems like something I'd do. I like fishing crappy weather too, you usually have the place to yourself.
WTG on the eyes.
