It's finally that precious time when my kind of fishing works. I was out last Saturday and this morning, Friday, for about 3.5 hours each time. 2 19" eyes on Saturday and 4 more today. Two 22's, a 20 and a 16. All on jig and worm. Water temp this morning was 75 degrees where I was. I also got a 16" Largemouth out there in the middle. That's pretty uncommon. I couldn't figure why that Walleye was coming to the surface so fast! Also in the good news department is the fact that I've caught 1/2 dozen "yearling" Walleyes of about 8 - 9". Good to see those little guys out there again. I'll be back out tomorrow early if the weather permits.

    See you out there.

Glad you guys are doing well....Heard Troy Dave was doing good also on Gators...Congrats to you all!
I put some special stuff in for the little Gators and they really seem to use it for protection when they are first stocked, this is getting more to a decent survival size...we have been catching a lot of yearlings after each stocking...this will really benefit the fishery. Guppy has been doing well with the Gators also...someday I will get back out.

    Good Fishing To You All!

Headed out to CJ for the 1st time in months. Had a little bit of everything (except walleye!) ... crappie, blue gill, catfish, white bass, rain, sun, wind ... It was good to get out again. Water was 73 - 75.
Hey Brent, hope to see you before the ice sets in & all we can do is get together for breakfast and talk about fishing ...
    Good fishing to all

Eh, if they close the gates think the lake will fill, Fritz ! Think you might mean `open` the gates, in which case all the little (and big !) fishies will go down stream, the bottom of the lake will get a TRUE "Peppie La Phew !!! smell and the sail boaters and jet skiers would bitch...

They may be closing the gates for awhile if TS BILL drops 3-4 inches of rain on top of all we have and are getting....they were suppose to close the gates and drain the spillway down to the low damn. They were going to do repair work on the concrete around the spillway.
Since I haven't been able to get out, I don't know if this has been put off or not...If someone gets out, just stop up at the COE office and see what the plan is! They were going to remove all the fish in the outflow area and put them back in CJ while the work was being done...that's what we all wanted to see!

Back at the Doctor on Friday, hopefully I can get some relief from this pain, and be able to stand sunlight, wind, etc,....and be able to fish again! THIS SUCKS!

Let me know when you're ready, Brent. I have a couple of nice, cozy seats on my boat that you are welcome to use. I'll be out as much as I can arrange for the next several weeks.
