    Default Larry-Southern Indiana

Well mine is simple. My first name is Larry and since I live in Southern Indiana near Louisville Kentucky I just decided that Larry-Southern Indiana was a natural fit.

Part of my e-mail is Crappieman by my choice as well, cause crappie fishing is my first choice always. I do fire protection work during the day to support my crappie fishing habit on weekends.
Every now and then during the week I sneak up to the camp and fish till dark, spend the night and go to work from there. I probably should have the handle crappie addict cause I got the bug.

Mine is simply the boat I fish from a Ranger 375 XT. Have also used the handle "Barney" that my now sister-in-law hung on me when she could not see that my name on my shirt was "Barry". That stuck with me for several years and some still call me Barney.

    Default Cane Pole

This came from the rememberance of my grandfather who always took me fishing. He did not believe in fancy store bought rigs. He cut our poles. I do not know where he found them, but I believe along the banks of the South Forked Deer River. I had to use black rayon line and no bobbers. We tight lined minnows. There were no engines, or trolling motors, no sonar. He skulled an old wooden boat up and down the Big Sandy. We caught big fish then, but, I was just a kid. It stirs strong emotions ,and almost tears, as I type this. I loved that old man and miss him dearly.

    Default Just Lazy......

I didn't want to have to type "Louisiana Bill" every time I logged in, so I shortened it to "labill." Simplicity is beautiful.......

Mine is pretty simple too. Crappie fishing and Farming are about the only two things I do and since I can be a harvester of crappie I COMBINED the two. CF

One sunday afternoon I walked into the kitchen, kissed my girlfreind on the cheek and told her I would see her later. She asked where I was going and I told her crappie fishing. This was after I had fished till 3am on friday night, 1am on saturday night. She replied "You've just gone crappie crazy haven't you." I just walked out the door grinnin.

Just get him on, then we'll worry about getting him in!

    Default Cohutta Wilderness Area

I go hiking in the Cohutta Wilderness Area of northern Georgia. There's a nice river there called Jack's River. There's also a big waterfall. So any way I like the place and crappie and then combined the two.....CohuttaCrappie

Default strange a it may seem

A friend of mine who I have fished with since the first grade. He now is an avid bass tournament fisherman. Anyway we were out crappie fishing one day and he has always refered to his livewell as ''the Pen''. One day we got into a mess of good size crappie and every time we caught a nice one, he would say ''what a pig'' and then he would tell me to throw the Pig in the PigPen.
Kind of corny but it always stuck with me.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.
