That's good to hear Tim.
Did the crappies ever take the bobber under water or just make it stand up?
99% of the time they just make the bobber stand up.
Hightekrednek - let me know how it works out.
Thanks.
That's alot like the system the English use for baitfishing, makes it alot easier to see a strike. I'd been meaning to try but forgot about it, thanks for the reminder! I'll give it a try soon.

They were hitting lite just barely standing it up.
Hi KCBH,
What's up?...I am doing good...I finally got to try out the bobber...I give it two thumbs up....I wasn't fishing for crappie...I was actually fishing for bluegill....I am being dead honest....I only missed one hookset...Only reason I missed the fish is because I pulled the hook out of his mouth....I was using a flu flu jig tipped a little chunk of a nightcrawler...This bobber setup is the real deal...As soon as the bobber starts to stand up just set the hook and you will have a great chance of catching the fish...I caught about 12 bluegill all pretty good size....The flu flu was 1/60 of an ounce....Thanks for hooking me up KCBH...Only thing I had problems with sometimes casting the jig when I had the bobber set around 6ft or so...I probably will start using my 7ft flyrod..When I need to set the bobber more than 6ft..
Jeremy
Thanks
Bye
Hi,
I want to make a correction...I was using a 1/64 ounce flu flu jig...Not 1/60 ounce jig..It wouldn't let me edit it..
Jeremy
Thanks

That's great Jeremy, I am glad you got it figured out.
I have learned a lot about this set up over the years and am happy to share what I know. As I remember "tips" I will post them on here.
Today's tip - If you are going to use this jig deep (5-6') you will need a long stiff rod. Setting the hook deep requires and long sweep of the rod tip. When the bobber stands up you should snap the rod above your head and as high as you can get it. You have to get the angle on them ... haha. This is also a must for the boober being a long ways away.
Thanks for your report Jeremy, I enjoy passing on the info to fishermen who will use it.
Hi KCBHM,
Thanks for the tips....
Jeremy
Thanks

No problem buddy.
I got shut out tonight, it rained real hard here today. And it stayed overcast until sunset so I thought I would give it a go. I should have stayed home.
