    Default Truman Lake by Clinton

Has anyone fished Truman Lake by Clinton? If so, how's the fishing and how's the boating up there?

Truman has been excellent this year! The size has been very good and been pulling good numbers. Now you can put in at Sparrowfoot which right near deepwater but lately we've been going down to Bucksaw or Berry Bend. It's just a little further East of Clinton down 7 hwy.

We're heading down to probably Berry Bend in the morning actually, wanting to be putting in around 6:30 or so.

haven't heard too many bad reports from Truman, especially Bucksaw, Berry Bend, and Tightwad. find 15-30 FOW and structure and put something with chart on

    Camo, you're from Harrisonville right?

That is where I was born and raised as well. Graduated there in 2000.

Thanks for the update guys. I've not been to Truman or LOZ yet. So, next week I'm comin' down to your neck of the woods for a day.

Truman can be a great lake in the summer. Put in at Bucksaw head to the marina and they will point you to some fish. Summer time patern is usually fishing the flats tight lining jigs or minnows around standing timber. I like the hardwoods but some guys like the cedars. Keep watching for reports on here before you head down. There is usually somebody on some good fish and willing to help a new to the lake guy out.

NOT SURE WHERE YOU MIGHT BE STAYING, BUT IF CLOSE TO lONG SHOAL AREA, THE FISHING IS GREAT. WE HAVE CAUGHT OUR LIMIT THE LAST 5 TIMES OUT. JUST BE READY TO MOVE AROUND. THEY ARE NOT BUNCHED UP AT ALL. WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO LIMIT OUT IN ABOUT 4 HOURS EACH TIME.

    GOOD LUCK
