I usally hammer them after rain, those blue bird days kill me lol
So, I always here fishing after it rains is terrible, but fishing right before the rain is amazing. My question is, how slow is the fishing after a rain?

Is that a serious response? You kind of threw me with Blue Bird day!

Sunday my nephew and I went before the rain hit and we caught a few trout and then the wind came up and the rain came down for about 30 mins (luckily we were in the trees on shore and it blocked most of it).
After the rain stopped the breeze was blowing but we started catching them like crazy for a few hours until the winds really picked up and kicked us out of the fishing.
Overall a great day though.

I agree with albiechaser about the blue bird days as bad and would add that during rain without thunder or lightning has been some good fishing for me. Also I really like dark days with low hanging clouds.

yes it is, a blue bird day is a clear sky with high barometer presure.
So how about, hot, humid, kind of overcast, rained about 2 hours ago and rain more in the forecast - 6:29 PM
Thinking about hittin' up the lake around 7:30ish

Better than sitting at home. I would say go and find out what works for you.
I suppose that's a good answer...
Now if my dog would do my laundry while I was gone, I'd be set!

Depends on what type front produced the rain,I've fished after some rain fronts it was lockjaw city. And I will agree on the high blue bird skies,I try not to look up offen on those days lol.I've caught fish like crazy in some down pours and not catch nothing in some down pours, depends on what type front .
However if your wanting a BIGGEN to mount on the wall high blue bird skies in the heat of the day.Its the best time of day for the monster (fatty, lazy)fish to sneak up on lockjaw fish thats sleeping and not biting my hook.
