I took the plunge and re-lined my new baitcaster with the fluorocarbon. A word of warning to all that want to try it. You had better try your knots out carefully! The regular knot that I've used since I was a kid doesn't hold. The line is very slick and required some research on the internet for me. The easiest and best knot for me is the Palomer knot. Most internet sights recommend it or the Berkley Braid knot. I would have to see the Berkley tied in person. It's a little confusing to me. Just a heads-up if you make the change.

I tried the fluorcarbon one time on a baitcaster and used the palomer knot. The only problem I had was when fishing a spook if I was really walking the dog and didnt check and sinch the knot every so often the line would slip out of the eye hook on the spook. The line is tough especially in lilly pads.
