I tried one in a minnow bucket and it killed them all in a matter of minutes, $12 worth of minnows down the drain:mad:

I got one at the proshop(about $50.00) that hooks to my battery. mount it in one of my dry box ran lines to all of my live wells, and bait well, have not lost a fish yet. I do a lot of cach and release, but I like to keep all my fish till the end of the day. I turn it on when the first fish goes in the well.

I tried one for my minnows and could not keep them alive. I lost many $ worth of minnows. I now use a KeepAlive pump and it works out great.

Ive used have them for over 5 years. They work awesome, but you have to follow the instructions and reciculate or change out the water every so often. They put out so much pure oxygen that it will kill fish if you dontuse accordinlly.I have the small one for a minnow bucket as well as the large portable ones for a livewell and the factory installed pernament ones and they do work.

I have a 30 gallon one that is supposed to be new that has battery clamps that I will send if you pay postage. I don't need it in my livewell and I use salt in my shad so I can't use it. Salt makes chlorine gas if used with the oxygenator. If you want it pm me.

I have had one and it didn't work for me. Might have been too new at the time and didn't follow directions like prchjercker said. I couldn't keep minnow alive with mine but can't diss the product. with it on the bottom of the live well, it either used up all the oxygen or plugged up from the fish waste.

I lost my minnows and sold it on ebay.

I use a Keepalive pump I made and ice in hot summer but I use a trolling bucket and just keep a few in the cooler I use next to me during other times.

The Oxygenator, how effective is it? (http://www.slideshare.net/raminlandfish/the-oxygenator-how-effective-is-it?from=share_email)

According to this study, it is relatively useless, adding only 3.8% more oxygen to the water. Recirculating the water in livewells is much more effective at keeping bait and fish alive.

I have one of the 12 volt models permanently mounted in my livewell. It works great. My son tells me his keeps bass alive for 3 or 4 days. I only sometimes leave the fish with it overnight and clean them the next day, but I am happy with it.
