Not a bad idea these days.
we just had a man that was fishing come up missing at the middle part of this week.2 guys reported a boat unattended then turns out they had some of his belongings on their person.so police are saying it could be foul play.since that they found a body a long distance from where the boat was.anyway this gets me to thinking of takeing a gun when i go fishing by myself.was wondering if any of u guys cary one when u go

I'm always packin heat. Never needed it but would rather have it and not need it than not have it and need it.

Just about everywhere I go. Have even slipped up and wore it in Wal-Mart and bait stores without remebering. Better safe than sorry!
Was that a bite? Forgot what they feel like!
Great idea, but illegal on state park property. I guess it's one of those things where if you have to use it, it's better to take the rap for illegal possession of a handgun than being dead.
i bring one every trip
Just my two cents:D
I always have mine you just never know these days. better to be prepared than not. Not everyone you meet is a bad person but how do you tell it,s not like they have a big "X" on their forehead.
I have a concealed carry licence and carry almost all the time.
I take mine with me whenever/where ever I'm fishing.

Unless you are an ex police officer, your permit is only good for the state that you are a resident. Be careful going through Chicago, Washington DC, NY and etc. Fortunately, I have not had to have one. Doesn't mean that the situation my arise some day.
My atty told me once, if I ever pulled my gun, it was to be emptied. It is hard to defend someone against someone in a wheel chair that has a rap sheet a mile lone. The jury always sides with them.
