Got back into tubing last year and love it. VERY relaxing way to fish. Fun and effective, too.

BTW, it's "float tube", not "tube float".

It's all I used to use. Best portable boat around. I wish I still had one. I never used the flippers that recommended for them. I always used divers fins and would motivate backerds. It was way faster and gooder.

When I was in my 20's and 30's I float tubed in the summer--all the way to October (sometimes). I really liked it but as I got older, I decided the best way for me was on a nice comfy, space-y pontoon rig. lol

It is a great way to fish. It makes you fish slowly and methodically. I never used the silly fins at all. I just pedal-stroked my way along, dragging a minnow bucket behind on a rope.

Depends on who the Manufactuer is and what part of the country you live in. Here in Oklahoma, they had been advertised as "Tube Floats" 30 years back. These days, I have seen them called, "Float Tubes". I have always called them Tube Floats myself. I had one of the original canvas setups with zipper and two small compartments on the front. A truck innertube, some air, and your fishing.

Regardless of what anyone calls them, I love them!

Lake patrol here in OK would make us tag and sticker one of those. Great little setup and would be perfect for farm ponds and pits. I like them things too!
