Default Info on Kansas fishing laws

Well they say go to the guys that know so here I am: My son has been stationed at Ft. Riley, KS and according to the base's web site there's lot's of fishing for what he likes (and me too when I go to visit). I'm getting ready to send him a care package of jigs and sinkers and some plastics, I already sent him his fishing poles and reels.

Does Kansas have any "Lead Law" items!!! Here in Vermont any sinker less than 1/2 ounce has to be non-lead and split shot too. Jigs are okay right now in Vermont. I really want to make sure I don't get the kid in trouble, by sending this package

Can you tell me what Kansas laws say ????

    Thanks

Here is a link for Kansas Fishing Regulations.

One can also download a pdf file for 2009 Regulations here.

Fatman, I was stationed at Ft. Riley and spent a lot of time fishing Tuttle Creek and Milford. If he likes to fish there should be no shortage of places to find. To be honest I did most of my fishing at Aggieville :D Kind of funny but that please God just one more thump works there to.

Thanks for all the great info folks!!!!! Actually I'm really missing my last kid fishing buddy. About another year and a half and I can get spoiling my grand daughter with fishing, if my daughter doesn't beat me to it, she loves to fish!!!

No sense the boy wasting money on jigs and sinkers when Dad makes them, private pay ain't all that great LOL.

    Thanks again it's really appreciated.

    Fatman
