    What crappiehawg said....

I've been pretty covered up lately and haven't been out to Smithville in several weeks. Doesn't sound like I've missed anything.

Sorry to hear about your grandpa.

I was up there two Sundays ago. Water temp was 48 north of Trimble Lake, 50 at the W Bridge, 47 at Sailboat cove. Didn't catch a thing. Didn't look like Smithville was warming up any because the trees weren't budding. Funny to see that because I live at I-29 and Barry Rd, and the trees are past the budding stage. The lake is real low. Be careful if you head up north. There are trees poking out of the water where I didn't realize trees were at. During the summer I see jet skis and people boating in the middle of the old Trimble Lake. Heck, there are quite a few trees lines right in middle of the lake. Man, I though that place was wide open. A guy could get squared up there if you were in the wrong spot.

fished the marina docks on Saturday. It was very slow, managed a limit between several of us. Lots of shorts but by no means was it the hot and heavy it should be this time of year.
