    Talking caughtem today

Me and brother Lane( shelldecoy) head out to try Talley Bend today. We got to Clinton and Lanes neighbor called and said he caught fish at sterret creek friday evening. So we headed over there. Got there at 9;30 and put in.We had never fished there. We ended up with two limits. The fish were 10 to 13 inches. We caught them with 32nd oz. jigs with chartuece and black bodies. We fish under a cork about 18 inches deep . These we mostly males on the bank in 2 ft of water. The temps. were 59 when we got there and 61 when we left in the backs of the bays.We had a ball. Wishg I had next week off

Sounds like a great day. Congrats.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'

I guess the cats out of the bag now. It was on this afternoon. Minnows under a slip bobber just off the bank and casting Blk/char road runners at the bank. The next few weeks is going to be fun. Neighbors kids had some huge slabs from Deepwater creek. One was a 2lb 3 1/2 oz monster. They also had a 1 lb 13 oz and a 1 lb 11 1/2 oz fish.
