a try at pics????? not the best phone pic but I guess it will work as the other ones wont work.....
went out april 1st and 2nd on my lake for the maiden voyage and had to really search for the craps but we managed to find some nice ones... we ended up with 30 keepers over 10" with a couple of 15" slabs... I could only find them in 9-12' of water and the jigs down around 8' deep.. we were drifting with the wind (my favorite method) which was blowing pretty good.. making a lot of short drifts once I found the area... we had the best luck using chartruse road runner jigs with emerald shiners and a #2 hook up a foot also tipped with shiners... had to add a pretty good sized split shot when the wind kicked up.. I will try to get pics up when I figure it out...

Nice fish. I have drifted for catfish but never for crappie... I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for the report.

I've never heard of Chippewa lake, but if it has slabs like that in it, I might have to give it a shot. Nice fish!!! What did those 15"ers weigh?
