well let me be thef frist to say welcome from south east georgia. sit back and hang on this is a great place
Hi all,
I posted this in the California Section, so I figured I should post it here too.
I'm Tim from Ventura County California. I started fishing again after a 30 year absence from it. I started out with Bass, but soon found myself quite bored with it, and I like to eat what I catch. The Bassers out there do not see it that way, so I set my sights on Trout, Pans and Crappie.
I was raised in Wis. and as a kid, I used to go fishing all the time with my dad. We mainly went for Pans and Crappie. Every once in a while we would get a Trout or a Northern
I've read through alot of posts in this forum as a non-member, and finally joined. I'm still quite new to this sport again, and my skills in Crappie fishing is not too good. So, I'm hoping to pick your brains and ask for help, so I can get out there and catch some Crappie and Pans.
I've got pretty good at Trout fishing this Winter and now I feel I can spread my wings for Crappie. Problem for me though is what kind of bail to use, when does the Crappie start biting out here in So Cal., Can I fish from shore, when is the best time of day to fish for Crappie.
So, I hope that this site can provide me with some answers to my questions, so I can go to a lake and actually come home with some big Crappie. Ok, little Crappie is good too, but not too little.
