    Default Gulf Shores trout guides

Anyone know of a good guide for trout around the Gulf Shores/Orange beach Al. area? We usually do quite a bit of surf fishing when we're down that way but I want to take Dad on trip for some specks. He's been talking about it for a while and I'd like to surprise him with this trip. Any websites or links would be great too. Thanks in advance.

    Take care,
    Greenfish

Try Moon Doggie's Inshore Fishing (251-232-9816), Capt. Paul Smith. I fished with him a couple of times last fall, and had a good time.

    Contact J&M Tackle
    Canal Road
    Orange Beach..

They should be able to get you connected with a good Spec Trout Guide.

My family has been vacationing in Perdido Key for many years. I usually catch a few trout on Johnson's beach wade fishing. You might want to try it. Go east from Orange beach thru Perdido key, when the road turns away from the beach go straight. About a mile ahead there is the entrance to a national seashore park. It is a long pennisula, with the gulf on one side and the Intracoastal waterway on the other. The Intracoastal waterway actually runs through a large bay. Just pull over to the side and walk across the dunes on one of the bridges. I wade knee to waist deep and fish the grass beds. You can catch a few nice trout in that area. Hint, Don't come to La. and trout fish, you will be spoiled. You will throw rocks a Fl. Good Luck

Try Capt. Davis in the Gulf Shores / Ft. Morgan area. We did really well with him. He's also full of good tips if you bring your own boat. If you have time go to dixey bar and get one of these. They're thick as thieves and easy to catch. This one was 39 lbs. His # is 251 943-6298.
