Hey ya'll. Just joined the crappie forum. I have just started trying to figure out this jig fishing for crappie. I have gotta long way to go. Any advise would be a great asset. I have fished Decatur the past week several times. Seems like it has been very slow. I caught one this morning but it weughed 1.5lbs:, biggest I have caught yet. I have been fishing 4-5ft water, maybe they are still a little deeper. Tightlines to ya!

It has been very slow every where last week. and I mean SLOW!!! On lake Weiss they are still not shallow. That 1.5 pound crappie is a great way to start!!. Just keep watching this board and you will learn alot!!

deerman just keep plugging away as laser doc said its slow we managed to catch 130 last week on guntersville but thats 8 to 10 hrs a day and thats slow for this time of year.drifting and throwing a jig under a cork has worked for us.And also caught several on the red wasp that laser doc makes.good luck if you need advise this board is a good place to start.
