Ive got a 50 hp 2002 mercury was wondering how much water should be coming out ? or how can I make sure it is not partually blocked ?

That is a hard one to answer unless someone has the same motor. Depending on where the tap for the P hole is (before or after the thermostat) controls how much water comes out when the motor is cold. If less is coming out now than it use to, that is early signs that your impeller needs replace. You can check for blockages by running a piece of weed wacker line in the P hose.

i've had to clear my merc a few times. just remove the cowl and take loose the water line where it exits the motor. note: theres a plastic grommett thing where it exits and it will come off as it holds the line. don't do this over water. just blow thru the line hard. you'll tell if its blocked or not
