My brother and I fished there this past Saturday during the gale force winds. We put in at Rockwood and fished south of the islands to stay out of the winds. Fishing was slow but the keep to cull ratio was way better than the last few years. It had been 1 keeper for every ten caught and it was more like 1 for every 3 caught. I also caught the largest crappie I have caught on Wappapello. It was around 14" and loaded with eggs.
