Were They Letting Water Out When You Were There Last Year? I Always Like Water Running To Keep'em Stirred Up......
Last year was the first time I fished below Truman (from the bank) and had some really good fishing.......but that was in late April and May.
My brother-in-law is coming up this weekend and I was wondering if any of you guys thought it might be worth it to try below the dam yet?

A FISH IN THE PAN IS WORTH TWO IN THE LAKE
Should be but I don't think much is happening there yet, water flow has been very inconsistant and weather hasn't helped. I had a friend that fished there Sunday and Monday afternoon caught some crappie, white bass, couple small walleyes he was fishing out of a boat using various jigs. Don't think there was much a pattern to anything.
It has been hit or miss from what I hear. But should be running some water this weekend which will help.
I can't wait for the slack water channel to start up. Man, that was a good time last Spring. I believe it was April, wasn't it, Jared?

Yeah, I went down there one day with my boat and saw the # of boats in the slack water ! Decided to go over to the current side.........still caught my limit in no time.
hope to get down there and try it for a day with you fellas!
why do today what you can put off til tomorrow, go fishing instead!!!
Yes and it was sweet.
I'll let you know when it heats up, Jeffie. You know there is room in my boat for you any time. Since I work nights, I usually fish mornings when they are biting down there. As long as I'm off the water by 1300 I'm ok.
