    Default New 510C Lowrance

Got my new unit hooked up and tinkered with it yesterday off and on all day. Not sure what I was doing but got it honed by the time I left. You can see an 1/8 oz jig when moving it up and down. Did notice that when I had ten ft of line out it showed the jig at 9 ft. So I will have to read up on how to adjust the depth to be on the money. I think I am going to really like it. Thanks Chatt for talking me into this unit. Saved me about $300 over what I was going to get.

    Hey Jared,

Just for my education what did that puppy cost and from where? I know that you price shop and shop for the best units. Let us all know please.

    Later, Jim

Go to the menu and select "keel offset". Make your adjustment there.

I knew you would be happy with that one, Jared. I loved watching the one on Chatt's boat when we were in Oklahoma. Really helps you keep the jig just over the fish.

Have not been to Windsor Crossing lately. Been fishing Bucksaw area. I heard they have been catching fish in the quarry spider rigging.

i just have mine set on auto sensitivity so i need to manually adjust it to see my jig. I think it works great for locating brush but i can't seem to see fish on it very well. Im guessing once i adjust the sensitivity that will change?

It does not have to be adjusted up much. Are you not seeing any arches at all? How about balls of shad?
