Guys:

I've been to Crane Lake in far northern Minnesota each of the last two years in June. Boats like this one are a common sight up there, particularly for outfitters and resort owners that are boat-in only places that require long runs in all kinds of weather to get guests where they need to be and keep them dry.

What's really wild is seeing these boats with racks of canoes on top, or barrels of fuel and other provisions. Not my first choice for a boat, but they definitely serve a purpose for some.

By the way, the crappie fishing up there can be very good at times. We got into 'em two years ago but didn't really try last year. The smallmouth fishing was so incredibly good that we didn't bother trying to find crappies.
