    Talking Yankee On The Lake

Well a few days ago BIGBADDAD PM'd me about fish'n here on Ky Lake. He said he was a retired fire fighter from Chicago and moved down here to enjoy the fish'n, so we exchanged phone numbers and decided to try a trip. Rich had never been Spider Rigg'n so I thought I'd treat him to his first time out.

We had a big time. BBD is a heck of a good guy & a pleasure to share a boat with.

Well he know's it's come'n cause I told him I had to tell it.

We launched the boat back in the back of the bay & BBD pulled my truck out while I stayed in the boat. I shoved up on the bank to let him & my Lab climb in. Well the dog made it fine but I can't say the same for Rich. He got his feet tangled up & did a half gainer off the bow into the lake. The judges gave him a 9.3, 9.3, and 9.8. I guess he lost a little on style points. :D

I have to give him credit though. He went to his van, stripped off the wet pants, put on a dry pair of carhart bibs & went fish'n. He was cold! Said that wind blow'n up his pant legs was tear'n him up.

I don't know exactly how many were ended up with but check out the pigs!

    He is hooked onspider riggin!

You cant hold a story like that back :p Nice fish and good story. I feel for him it must have been cold! He sounds like a trooper though. I think a second trip is in order to get'er right.

Default Way to show BBD a REALLLY great time...

but next time out bring a ladder...bein' a firefighter and all he prolly woulda felt more at home climbin' in from a ladder. LOL.
