Default Green County Fishing and Hunting Show

Mrs JJ and I ventured out to Claremore OK today to attend the fishing/hunting show put on at the Cherokee Casino and even though the admission price of $9 per person seems a little steep the place was packed!

There was a lot of various types of crappie baits to view and of course a few new concepts to try.

We went and watched part of Wally Marshalls seminar, but honestly it was more of a sales pitch on a new rod he has introduced that it was a seminar to teach you how to catch fish.

We also listened to Todd Huckabee speak on knowing what you are seeing on your fish locator. I learned a few things I intend to try next trip out.

Honestly, it was one of the best tackle/fishing shows I have been to in a long time

Well I guess I know to the answer to the question I had for you. I was going to ask if you headed north today? Sounds like you had a good day anyway. Maybe I will see you tomorrow?
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'

Sounds like a good time Gary. We have a sports show next week in Cape Girardeau. The last couple of years, it hasn't been worth the 2 or 3 dollar price of admission. Last year, the only thing I bought was a bag of home made kettle corn for Miss Jane.

Wow JJ, I was sitting behind you at Todds demo on the sonar. We spoke briefly about the show in general. Wished I had known it was you, would have loved to talk about Stockton crappie with you. I had the red Ranger hat on sitting next to an older Gentleman.
    Hey, tell me a story!

JJ's - you mentioned Todd Huckabee. Do you know if he has changed his web site? I was trying to find it the other day, and it kept saying 'web site not available'????

Glad you had a good time at the show.

I have fished with Todd 4 times in the past 3 years. I learned a lot about slow trolling for crappie, had no clue before. I didn't even know you could do that. Since then I have been reading and trying everything. Sometimes I get lucky.
My brother and I are thinking about hooking up with JR from Midwest Anglers guide service on some walleye at Stockton. Have you ever fished with him or know anyone who has?
    Hey, tell me a story!
