    Default Okeechobee Crappie fishing

In desperation to help my cancer stricken friend enjoy his last few months of a somewhat mobile life, I have scheduled a crappie fishing trip on Lake Okeechoee with Ron' Guide Service. We're going early March. Anyone know what we should expect? The crappie fishing good there, then? Anything about Capt. Ron?

Any suggestions of where to fish with my friend on future trips (most likely our last fishable Spring, maybe Summer). We live in South Carolina so Okeechobee is a stretch of a drive. Closer would be much better. I chose Okeechobee this time because we used to make that trip every year to bream fish in the Summer. Hot but fun, those days were great.

The sooner the better, if I recall the crappie are on the beds in Feb. Used to fish near Bell Glade and Pahokee. Good luck
