    Default chemical light sticks

i was fishing at night last year and i seen some people fishing with what looked light a glow stick,do you think a glow stick would float to be able to use it as a float?
The fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad

The ones I use are so light that even a 1/32 jig would pull them under.

They float. The 6" one's work great for crappie because they will sink with just a light pull. So it doesn't frighten the crappie away. You can also use them for catfish and bass etc. It's neat to see the glow stick sinking deep into the water as the fish swims away.

Post Don't think so, dawg ....

    but ...

If you need a lighted float .... they're made, run on batteries, and would probably outlast a box of light sticks. (our newest sponsor, Lindy, has them)

If you've got a 12v black light, any float with fluorsecent paint will "glow in the dark" ... and if they don't, just spray the tops with fluorescent paint.
