    Default Lake house near KC?


    I have a friend who lives in KC (Olathe) that wants to live on a lake. Are there any lake communities close to KC? He wants something similar to Council Grove City Lake, or Lake Wabaunsee, only located near KC. Not looking looking for a development with a pond, but more of a community built around a lake that's at least 200 Acres.

    Is there anything like that near KC? If anybody could lead me to some lake names, a realtor who specializes in lake properties, etc., I would appreciate it. He would make a good neighbor if any of you live on a lake near KC.

    There is a city lake called Gardner city Lake, West of Olathe about five miles. Houses around the lake, most are old but there are newer ones. Reese Nichols in Gardner would be the realty to contact. Been thinking of moving there myself, fishing is ok, no skiing.

    I don't know how much money he has, but there is Raintree, and Lake Winnebago around Lee's Summit.

    There's lots of developments around KC that have lakes/ponds. Is there an area that he's looking for? KC is pretty big, so it depends on which side of town he's looking at.

    How about Quivira Lake? From what I hear it has decent fishing.

    Squirrels, Gardner would remind him a lot of CGCL.....The homes are not as big nice, but its loaded with homes on the lake. I cannot speak for any that the guys are talking about in MO.
