    Default Finally scratched the itch!!

Well, I finally was able to go fishing Tuesday. I fished a friends 15 acre lake and I kept 15 crappie total. There sizes were as follows: 4 were 14 inches long, 8 were 12-13 inches long and 3 were 11 inches long. The wind was kind of brutal but I was able to anchor over a tree in 18 feet of water. The colors of choice were yellow/white, chartreuse/pink/black. I added a split shot to help the lure sink faster since the wind was blowing so hard. As soon as the lure hit the tree I would raise the rod tip about 8 inches and wham the crappie would hit. It was a great day to be on the water and I can't wait to do it again. Sorry there are no pictures, but I still haven't figured out how to post them.
