Chowan River

Hi we are new to this website. We have a small bait & tackle store on the Chowan River in Tunis, NC. Outside of Winton NC.

We host several Bass tournaments and catfish tournaments during the year. We would like to hold some crappie tournaments from our store if we could get enough interest. We have alot of crappie fishermen that come in the store and requested us to have a couple.

So just wanted to get some feedback if any would be interested in coming to our tournaments.

We just opened last year. We offer gas for boats on the water. We have live bait and tackle. We also offer bagged ice, drinks ,sandwiches, snacks. We have a public restroom.

So come by and see us. Let us know if you would be interested in participating in Crappie Tournaments on the Chowan River.

Can you be more specific on the location of your place, ie south or north of bridge ? marker between # 30 & 31 something to look for from the river ?

If you are at Shoups landing and launching your boat you would go towards Holiday Island. Do you know where that is. When you launch your boat you don't go under 13 bridge I guess would be the best way to say it.

I'm not good at North or South directions. We are up a canal called Catherine's Creek. We do have a small sign showing we are up in the canal. We are in the process to putting a bigger sign that just says "GAS" and hope you can see it from the river when riding down the river.

When you launch at shops and go left we are NOT far down the river. If you go past the power lines you have gone to far.
