Luke, Not sure what part of the lake you are headed to, but can give you an answer for this part of the lake (the upper end of the Big Niangua Arm). Just got back in off the water. I went about 3 miles down stream and had to bust through about 200 yards of ice, went around the next corner and it was froze all the way across and as far as I could see. Therefore, I am back home and typing this.

Interesting though, once I got out of the ice and in open water, I was getting a reading of 37 degrees, so that report down at the dam might be close.

    Good luck!

Fished the upper glaize today and it was still frozen solid below pb1 and the water temp was around 36 but the fish didn't mind i had to fight but got a limit in 7' on the flats, most of the good spots were frozen but i found 2 beds that were open and had fish on em.After i finished i ran up the glaize above carnes to play with the smallmouth i only caught 1 smallie 1 goggleye 10+ spots and a bunch of small crappie right up on the bank around wood the water temp was 45 up there so the bite should be good real soon.
