    Default Puter update

I am now running on my new drive with over 2 gig of memory. I had some problems but got some of them resolved. I thought I had exported my addresses, messages and favorites but now I can't import them. I have since updated everything from Microsoft and will try again tomorrow. I may have to reinstall my old drive and try to export them again. Any suggestions?

send yourself an email with all the addys and don't check your mail until your new HD is back in? Favorites, perhaps just print them out so you'll have them available.
Cheesy response from me, I'm not good at all transfering things from one drive to another.

I have never been able to successfully export the address book so I just keep a word document with all of them. You can copy your favorites folder or move it or burn to disk then replace the existing favorites folder or contents.

I always hooked up the second tape inside the machine to my new drive, transfer all data from old drive to new drive then transfer to the main tape or belt. I am assuming you have plenty of room on the new drive for all your old stuff. If not you could delete what you dont need. I always went to a much bigger hard drive when upgrading though. Good luck.

Thanks for all your help CR. I finally was able to export/import my addresses and favorites. I never could get the messages to do that so I took your advice and sent them all to myself. That works just fine. Got all my updates done and still have some stuff to download again but looking good.

LOL, just a shot in the dark that I knew would work should all else fail. I love to trouble shoot and will come up with some doozies that may not be the best way, but effective. I am still laughing about it. Glad it worked.

Bill I have gone down export road and its a b*^$h. Explorer exports with ease cause you can copy the folder and past it to your new directory in IE. But Mozilla has be dug up in the user profile and its a challenge. Best thing to date, is copy and paste all info into a word doc and save it to a thumb drive or disc. Hope you thought to save all your previous activation files/codes so you can paste them back to their proper folders.
