Smile Porcupine Fish Attractor (good Or Bad)

Been watching video of these porcupine fish attractors, but I feel they are too pricy for where I want to put them, and was wondering why 1/2" rebar welded up into a sphere wouldn't work as well, and you wouldn't have to weight it down, I would primer and paint with a good paint to help keep it from rusting up to soon, what do you think would it work? Do the pvc ones work? Thank you for some info....... olesilverside

    my $.02

We have a few of these placed off of the dock down at LOZ. They work GREAT!!!!!!

My only complaint is, they are a little pricey. The pvc part is easy, I can get just about as much as I want from work for free. However paying 30-40 bucks for the balls is a little ridiculous.

My future in laws who own the place continue to sink them around their dock and they continue to produce!

We have also begun sinking the cheaper PVC structures as well, simply using concrete a dishpan and scrap pvc of all shapes and sizes.....total cost of one of those is around $3 a piece!

But to answer your question, THEY WORK!!!!!!! on LOZ at least!

A Good friend of mine placed several around his new boat dock and has been pleasantly surprised how well they work.
Nothing better than getting out on the water.

Porcupines are OK. Scrap PVC cheaper, but in my experiece I agree with Bugman - hard to beat wood.

We had Arbor day this past week and got 3 trees planted. We wanted them to stay moist, so planted them about 12' deep in LOZ.
