Default Jig Swap 5: Official Sign-up Thread

    Jig Swap 5:

Ok all you jiggers - This post is the 'oh-fish-ul' sign-up post for the first Crappie.Com Jig swap of 2009. I've lifted all the interested names from Sandwich Makers post of the same subject title.....

Alan Miller and Emmett Jones were the swap-meisters of the last two swaps, and they are going to be tough acts to follow - I hope I can do a decent job of this for you all....

We will follow the same format used in the previous swaps:

Your favorite jig -or- as it's been in my case - it's been the method/material which has captured my fancy at the moment.....you don't have to be an expert tier to join, and those of you who've seen my stuff in pics or the real thing can vouch for the fact that an expert I'm not...

We will limit the sign-up to 25 participants.

    Swap Dates:

    1-16 Last day to sign-up

1-17 Participants will get a PM from me with my mailing address

1-30 Jig's should have been sent to me by this date. If you can't make that date, send me a
PM with reasons why, etc, so I can keep the rest of the participants updated as to the
    the status of things.

2-2 - 2/4 Recieved jigs should be homeward bound to participants

    Fishing Buddy:

Yep - Sandwich kind of forced my 'hand' - I was hoping to wait 2-3 more days until I get my proto-types more refined - I am working on something 'differant', and proto-types 1 and 2 didn't turn out so good. 3 and 4 are better, but still need improvement....

    sticksteer, Len:

    You will be there momentarily....

    All:

Should this swap get opened up more - say 25 or 30 slots? I realize this is a change from what I originally posted - but with the interest shown all ready, 20 slots may not be enough. I am open to suggestions, etc. IF we open it up to more participants, I will push back the 'jigs must be sent by' date.

well if you make it larger thats a lot more material and a longer wait on the swap if we keep it small its faster and we can just do another swap when this one is over. Keeps the ball rolling. Thats just my $.02

I'm looking at 8 slots left, and I can think of at least 4 names that will likely want in...this could be filled by the end of today.
