    Default Afternoon Snack

Well, I just got done having an afternoon snack and I thought I would share it with you all. It's a couple pieces of Deer Jerky I just took off the dehydrator this morning made from prime deer loin. I wish you all could have enjoyed it as much as I did. It's a good thing I only brought a couple pieces of it back to the office with me or it might have turned into an afternoon meal.

My whole family loves deer jerky. I usually make it out of the ham, but you've got to get most of that connective tissue out.
    Loin makes perfect jerky.
    Send me some.

I usually take the first deer of the season and use the hams and back to make jerky. That's an oven full so that's all I'll make each year. All 4 in my family likes it so it doesnt last very long. It's alot of trouble making and I need the rest of the deer meat we get for cubed and ground meat. Every year I'm always asked when one of us kills a deer with our bow..."Is that one for jerky?":D

BTW, your jerky looks good and spicey!
